The concept of Just in Time (JIT) was created by Toyota Motor Corporations founder Eiji Toyoda and Toyota engineer Taiichi Ohno. The idea of JIT has been very successful for manufacturing organizations that have little to no room for warehousing inventory. When Toyota started their manufacturing company there was not much room to store inventory needed to manufacture the vehicles. When asked where would the parts be stored if there is no warehousing space, Eiji and Taiichi responded that the parts would be at the correct location at the correct time on the production line and no sooner. This became the creation for JIT.
